The postponed 2020 African Athletics Championship will now hold a month before the 2020 Tokyo Olympics which will be held in 2021.
The championship originally meant to hold between June 24 to 28, 2020 was earlier postponed to May-June 2021.
According to a tweet from the Athletics Federation of Nigeria, the championship has now been declared to hold exactly a month before the start of the Olympics, that is June to July 2021.
The championship slated to hold in Algeria was first postponed because of the corona virus pandemic.
