Adetutu Aladeloye continued her steady rise on the track with an impressive outing at the 2026 Bulldog Alumni Relays, claiming victory in Section 2 of the women’s 200m.
The race marked her outdoor season debut, offering an early glimpse of her form and potential heading into a competitive campaign.
With a strong finish and controlled performance, Aladeloye delivered a result that sets a solid foundation for the rest of her season.
Her progression comes amid growing Nigerian representation at Mississippi State Bulldogs track and field, which has strategically strengthened its roster with emerging talents from the West African nation.
Last year, the program announced the addition of three Nigerian athletes, including Aladeloye, alongside Emmanuel Badejo and Ife Adisa.
The trio joined an already competitive squad featuring returning SEC performers Ramat Jimoh and Fakorede Adekalu.
Aladeloye, who boasts a personal best of 11.49s in the 100m, is widely regarded as one of the promising sprint prospects in the group.
Her transition into the outdoor circuit will be closely monitored as she aims to translate her speed into consistent podium finishes.
With a blend of experienced performers and rising stars, Mississippi State continues to position itself as a hub for Nigerian sprint talent, while athletes like Aladeloye seize the platform to develop and compete at a high level.
As the season unfolds, her opening performance at the Bulldog Alumni Relays could prove to be the spark for even bigger results in the months ahead.
