Frustrated by another goalless draw against Shooting Stars on matchday 4, the management called an emergency meeting on Monday to address the team’s performance.
Chairman of the club, Paul Bassey, emphasized the club’s rich tradition of winning and its goal of competing for laurels and continental qualification.
He expressed concern about the team’s recent results and underlined the club’s commitment to providing for its players’ welfare and the prompt payment of salaries and bonuses.
Bassey highlighted the government’s unwavering support for the club under Pastor Umo Eno’s administration, ensuring they lack nothing.
Bassey issued a strong call to action for the players and coaches, urging them to demonstrate commitment, dedication, discipline, and focus.
He stressed the need for an improved performance to meet the club’s goals for the season, including winning the league, a feat they achieved in 2021.
The management made it clear that participation in the league is about more than just taking part, emphasizing the club’s ambition to secure victories and achieve success.
They acknowledged the importance of their fans and supporters, who have stood by the club, and are determined to provide them with better results.
