Speaking about the Super Eagles’ absence from the global tournament, Adams described the disappointment as one of the toughest moments of his career.

“It still hurts that we are not part of the World Cup,” Adams said.

According to the Nigerian striker, the pain remains fresh because the World Cup represents the biggest stage in football.

“It is a huge loss for all of us,” he implied.

Adams revealed that many players are still struggling to come to terms with missing the competition despite the passage of time.

“The disappointment has not gone away,” he noted.

The forward admitted that the feeling may remain until the tournament eventually concludes.

“I think the pain will only ease once the World Cup is over,” he added.

Nigeria failed to qualify for the tournament after a difficult qualifying campaign, extending the frustration of missing consecutive World Cups.

“For players, missing a World Cup can be one of the biggest regrets in a career,” many football observers believe.

Despite the setback, Adams remains focused on helping the Super Eagles bounce back stronger in future competitions.

“The team must use the disappointment as motivation moving forward,” supporters continue to say.

The Super Eagles are currently rebuilding under coach Eric Chelle as preparations continue for upcoming AFCON qualifiers and future World Cup campaigns.

For Akor Adams, the message is clear.

Missing the World Cup remains painful.

The disappointment still lingers within the squad.

And the Super Eagles must channel that frustration into future success.

Because opportunities at the World Cup are rare, and missing them leaves lasting scars on players and fans alike.
