Akinwunmi: Qualification for 2019 AFCON is 50% done

NFF First vice President Barrister, Seyi Akinwunmi has explained that the job to qualify for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) is 50% done.

The Lagos FA Chairman wants the Eagles to complete the job in the second leg away in Sfax when Libya play host to Nigeria.

Akinwunmi speaking in a chat with Sports247.ng stated confidently that he believes the Super Eagles will do a double over their Libyan counterparts.

“With two wins in consecutive games, I think the Super Eagles are almost in Cameroon 2019. The job is half done. It is at 50%. We are almost there,” the Lagos FA Chairman enthused to Sports247.ng.

“The Super Eagles can put one foot in the AFCON with a win against Libya in Sfax. We have the machinery to make it a reality.”

“A double is achievable against the North African side. We defeated them at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Saturday. The game tonight won’t be different. I belief that the boys will record victory tonight,” he added.
