Akanbi Aderonke Olufunmilayo emerged as the first woman to cross the finish line at the 2026 Abeokuta 10KM Race, securing the women’s title with an impressive time of 35:00:69.

Sports247 reports that her strong performance earned her the $1,000 winner’s prize, as she led the women’s field through the Abeokuta road race and finished ahead of a competitive group of runners.

Bulus Mary Jah claimed the second position after completing the race in 35:58:71, earning the $750 runner-up prize.

Nwantiyi Teyei Davou completed the women’s podium in third place with a time of 36:03:09, taking home the $500 third-place prize.
