Ajester, Derby And Jazzy Stars FAs Win Big As Plateau State FA Throws Weight Behind SSI Premiership

It was a harvest of goals in Match Day 4 of the Sammy Sports International(SSI) Premiership, as 21 goals were netted.
The trio of Ajester FA, Derby FA, and Jazzy Stars FA all defeated Nestrac FA, J. Cadets FA, and Red Arrows FA, 4-1, 3-1, and 4-2 respectively.

In the first match of Match Day 4 of the SSI Premiership on Saturday, at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium, Jazzy Stars FA remain undefeated and maintain their lead at the top as they defeated Red Arrows FA 4-2 with Oladayo Olatunde getting a brace and the duo of Martins Sunday, who is now credited with the fastest goal scored thus far, netting the first goal in the 3rd minute and James Numger gave the Galaxies their biggest win in the 4weeks old Premiership. Red Arrows FA got their goals via Salisu Sani in the 7th minute and the tireless captain, Aminu Adam got the second via the penalty spot in the 84th minute.

The star match of the week, which was streamed live between bottom placers, Super Stars FA and Clapai Stars FA, saw the former getting their first win of the league and make Clapai Stars FA still searching for their first win, as they defeated the Coach Donatus Iloka’s tutored team 2-0.

Coach Donatus Iloka believes his boys will soon get abreast with the high standard of the league, blaming their winless run thus far on lack of experience.

According to him, “Clapai Stars FA is playing in a league of this magnitude for the first time. The standard of play here is very high and playing against some very good well-known football academies is a big thing for these young boys to handle for now. In all the four matches we’ve played so far, all goals scored against us are in the first half. The league is still fresh though and as they get acquainted with the terrain, my team will surely be a hard nut to crack.”

It would be recalled that Donatus Iloka’s goals singlehandedly handed Plateau United FC their first major trophy when they won the Coca-Cola FA Cup in 1999.

Iloka scored the only goal from the quarter-finals to the finals as Plateau United beat BCC Lions of Gboko 1-0 at the quarter-finals, beat Niger Tornadoes 1-0 at the semi-finals, and beat Iwuanyanwu Nationale 1-0 in the final at the National Stadium, Lagos, with Donatus Iloka netting all the three goals from the quarter-finals to the finals.

In the third match played, an 88th-minute penalty by SSI Premiership top scorer, Shamsudeen Usman was all El-Spuron FA needed to draw level with a resilient Highland Stars, as the action-packed encounter ended 2-2.

Emmanuel Dung and Edmund Godwin got the goals for Highland Stars, while Yero Job and Shamsudeen Usman netted for El-Spuron FA.

In the fourth match, Derby FA humbled the young rampaging J. Cadets FA, tearing them apart 3-1.
James Eronye got a brace in the 25th and 57th minutes, Fortune Blessed put the icing on the cake in the 63rd minute.
Paul Moses got the consolatory goal for J.Cadets FA in the 72nd minute via the penalty spot.

In the last match played in SSI Premiership Match Day 4 on Saturday, Ajester FA continues with their 4 goals scoring spree, as they defeated Nestrac 4-1.

A visibly impressed, happy, and satisfied grassroots loving Longbap, praised the high level of organization and standard of play of the teams and promised that his association will not relent in giving their unwavering support to huge development at the grassroots level.
