FC Robo Queens reignited their 2026 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six campaign with an impressive 2-0 victory over previously unbeaten Nasarawa Amazons on Matchday Three in Port Harcourt.
After suffering defeat in their first two opening fixtures, the Lagos-based side produced a disciplined and dominant display to secure their first win of the tournament and throw the title race wide open.
Following a tightly contested first half that ended goalless, Opeyemi Ajakaye broke the deadlock in the 59th minute with a composed finish to hand Robo Queens a deserved lead.
Just five minutes later, Oluwakemi Adegbuyi doubled the advantage after a well-worked attacking move, sealing an important victory for Emmanuel Osahon’s side.
Robo Queens controlled large spells of the encounter, recording eight shots on target while completely shutting down Nasarawa Amazons’ attack, which failed to register a single shot on target throughout the match.
The result not only revived Robo Queens’ hopes of challenging for the Super Six crown but also handed Nasarawa Amazons their first defeat of the competition.
Elsewhere on Matchday Three, Edo Queens produced a ruthless attacking performance to defeat Abia Angels 6-2, while Bayelsa Queens edged Rivers Angels 2-1 in the South-South derby.
Following the latest round of fixtures, Robo Queens moved onto three points alongside Rivers Angels, while Edo Queens and Nasarawa Amazons remain joint leaders with six points each as the competition goes into its last three matchdays.
