Ajagun Moves To Omonia Nicosia In Cyprus

Former Flying Eagles’ captain, Abduljeleel Ajagun has moved to Omonia Nicosia of Cyprus, as he seeks another avenue to revive his once boisterous career.

Sports247.ng reports that Ajagun, who has previously played in Greece and Holland, will now how for better form than he had at KV Kortjik of Belgium, till the end of this season.

Ajagun struggled for playing time at Kortrijk this season, but can only move to Nicosia on loan, as he still has two years left on his contract at the Belgium club that once had ex-international, Augustine Eguavoen on their cards several years ago.

Ajagun, who captained Nigeria at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2011 and 2013, will now be expected to use this loan spell to regain his form in the squad that has Yannis Anatasiou as their gaffer.

It is the same man Ajagun played under at Panathinaikos of Greece, then also took him to Roda JC Kerkrade of Holland and then Kortrijk.
