Aiyenugba Clamores For Football Loving NFF President As Elections Draw Near

Kwara United goalkeeper, Dele Ayenugba has called out football administrators in the Nigerian Football Federation to bring back the glory days of the round leather game as the elections are drawing near.

As NFF is set to hold it’s election in the coming weeks, the Dele Ayenugba has clamored for a change in administration and has saddled the incoming administration with the responsibility to help revive the love of football among football fans in Nigeria.

According to the CAF Champions League winner, Nigeria should have a football loving NFF president as the feelings of love will definately transmit from top to bottom.

“They should help our football. It’s going down. We need change. Let the love speak, not the fighting because It’s very important. This game is what gives joy to most Nigerians. Imagine we played against Ghana, home and away, foreign and home base, we couldn’t defeat them in any of them. It’s not putting the fans in a good frame of mind. I want them to bring that football back to our country because we are sleeping. Our football is sleeping. Let’s wake up. We need more and I hope the administrators will put heads together and leave this fighting.

“Come together and make our football great in Africa again. We are giants of Africa. Let that name speak for us”. Aiyenugba added.

“Before now, the presidency has directed the Amaju Pinnick led administration to amend the statutes of the footballing body to include other stake holders in other to accommodate those who are disenfranchised by it and to project equal representation in the NFF congress.

“Elections are to be held soon as this present administration is winding down this September.
