AIPS 100th Anniversary Postage Stamp To Be Presented To Captains Regent Of San Marino

On Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the Public Palace of the Republic of San Marino, the commemorative postage stamp dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the International Sports Press Association will be presented to the Captains Regent of San Marino; His Excellency Alessandro Rossi and Her Excellency Milena Gasperoni.

DIGNITARIES The AIPS President Gianni Merlo will be in San Marino for this significant event. Also in attendance will be the Secretary of State for Sport and to Information Teodoro Lonfernini, the General Director of Poste San Marino Gian Luca Amici, and Elia Gorini, President of the San Marino Sports Press Association.

RICH HISTORY The San Marino Post Office, in collaboration with the San Marino Sports Press Association, launched the postage stamp in March in honour of the rich history of AIPS which was founded on July 2, 1924 in Paris and has over the years defended the rights and principles of sports journalists all over the world.

On the same day, a special cancellation will be issued to mark the 40th anniversary of the San Marino Sports Press Association. The cancellation will depict the new logo of the association.
