Aina’s Torino Hold Juventus, Omeruo blossoms

Super Eagles wing back Ola Aina came on as a second-half substitute as Torino drew 1-1 with Juventus in Serie A on Friday night.

Aina came on for Sasa Lukic in the 79th minute of the game. Lukic had given the Bulls the lead after 18 minutes but Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 21st Serie A goal of the season to restore parity for the champions in the 84th minute.

Torino, whose next match is against Sassuolo on Sunday, remain sixth with 57 points from 35 games.

In Spain, Kenneth Omeruo 26th La Liga appearance for Leganes ended on a good note as they thrashed Sevilla 3-0 at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium.

Youssef En-Nesyri, Martin Braithwaite and Oscar were the scorers, while Omeruo put in a flawless display as his side got their 12th league cleansheet of the season – which guarantees their LaLiga Santander survival.

The result takes Leganes up to ninth in the Spanish La Liga table with 45 points from 36 points.
