Aigbogun Keeps Faith With Flying Eagles’ Regulars

Nigeria’s youth national team, Flying Eagles coach, Paul Aigbogun has admitted he will be keeping faith with regular players in his team ahead of their trip to Niger Republic for next year’s Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

Aigbogun admitted in an interview with sports247.ng that he still has a lot of trust in the players who helped him pick the ticket to the continental soccer showpiece.

Consequently, the former Warri Wolves and Enyimba of Aba handler said all those who took part in the qualifiers will join the camp after the first phase of preparations in Abuja.

Aigbogun, however, that, as part of his open screening programme, other good players will be tried, in order to make the team very competitive one heading into next year.

“We often say you don’t change a winning team,” Aigbogun stressed, “which is why we will still keep faith with those players who helped us pick the Nations Cup ticket.

“However, we have arranged an open screening programme to spot any other talented player, and they can still join the regulars when the second phase of camping starts later this year.”
