Ahmed Musa Appreciates Supporters as Kano Pillars FC Retain NPFL Status

General Manager of Kano Pillars FC, Ahmed Musa, has expressed deep appreciation to supporters, stakeholders, and the Kano State Government following the successful completion of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

Sports247 gathered that In an official statement released on behalf of the club’s chairman, board members, technical crew, players, and supporters, the former Super Eagles captain thanked Almighty Allah for guiding the club through a difficult but ultimately successful campaign.

Ahmed Musa acknowledged that Kano Pillars endured a challenging start to the season but praised the team’s resilience and determination in securing their top-flight status for another year.

“Despite our slow and unfamiliar start to the campaign, our darling club, Kano Pillars FC, showed resilience, character, and determination to retain its NPFL status for another season,” he stated.

The experienced football administrator also appreciated the unwavering support from fans and football lovers across Kano State and Nigeria, describing their encouragement and prayers as vital to the club’s survival during difficult moments in the campaign.

Musa reserved special praise for the Kano State Government under the leadership of Abba Kabir Yusuf, commending the administration’s commitment towards football development and continuous support for the club.

He also acknowledged the contribution of the club’s front jersey sponsor, RFI Hausa, for supporting the identity and vision of Kano Pillars.

Further appreciation was extended to the Kano State Football Association, supporters’ groups, football stakeholders, media partners, and the entire football community for standing behind the club throughout the season.
Addressing the players and technical crew, Musa praised their commitment and fighting spirit, noting that their sacrifices ensured the club remained in the Nigeria Premier Football League.

Looking ahead to the 2026/2027 season, the former Leicester City and CSKA Moscow forward assured supporters that efforts are already underway to rebuild and strengthen the club.

“As we look ahead to the 2026/2027 season, I want to assure all our supporters that a different and stronger Kano Pillars will emerge,” Musa stated.

He further emphasized his commitment to restoring Kano Pillars’ reputation as one of Africa’s respected football clubs while calling on fans to continue supporting the club popularly known as “Sai Masu Gida.”
