FIFA-licensed agent Daniel Smejkal has confirmed he was directly responsible for the transfer of Nigerian youngster Samuel Isife to Czech champions Slavia Praha, describing the move as another success story for the Lagos Supremacy Cup.
Isife, who came through 36 Lion and was spotted at the most recent Supremacy Cup tournament in Lagos, has signed a four-year deal with Slavia.

Local football circles celebrated the move as a breakthrough for the 18-year-old, who was one of the stand-out performers at the grassroots competition.
Speaking to Sports247 on the transfer, Smejkal was unequivocal about his role. “I transferred Isife to Slavia,” he stated, underscoring his involvement in identifying the player, handling negotiations, and ensuring the deal was completed.
The agent has been a consistent figure at Nigerian scouting events and has built links between Czech clubs and Lagos-based academies.
The Supremacy Cup has quickly become a hunting ground for European scouts. Clubs from Central and Eastern Europe, in particular, have intensified their presence in Lagos, with Smejkal among the agents who have facilitated pathways for local talents.
“The Supremacy Cup is a direct platform,” he said in earlier comments about the event, noting that its organization allows players to showcase ability in a competitive format attractive to clubs abroad.
For Isife, the transfer marks a significant career leap. Slavia Praha, a club with regular appearances in European competitions, offers exposure, professional training, and a platform to develop into a top-level player.
While official confirmation from Slavia is still awaited, the announcement in Lagos has been met with optimism among grassroots coaches and scouts who see it as proof of the growing credibility of Nigerian talent pipelines.
Smejkal’s confirmation places him at the center of yet another Nigerian-to-Europe move, reinforcing the importance of agents in bridging local football development with global opportunities.
