This much was disclosed by the project’s sports director and coach, Goldenmouth Chilaka, who enthused that their various teams will do a lot better this year than they did in 2025.

He showered a massive spray of encomiums on the boys’ captain, Charles Nwamadu and his female colleague, Amarachi Chukwuemeka for the ways in which they led their teammates to high points last year.

Chilaka recalled how they excelled in a number of athletics events across Nigeria, while also garnering top marks in several athletics competitions and 2025 Lagos State Secondary School Football Competition.

The youth football and age-grade athletics buff admitted that the journey has been rough, but expressed hope that they will have more successful outings this year in all their endeavours.

“We are already preparing for this year’s athletics championships and Paddysco Academy Sports Fiesta, but we need a lot of financial, material and logistics support.

“The biggest challenge we are facing up till now is mobility, logistics, finance and materials. In spite of these difficulties, I always tell my athletes and players to keep up the good work in training and competition.

“I also want to encourage other coaches, mentors and promoters to keep up their ongoing efforts of discovering, nurturing, developing and promoting talents. I tell them, don’t be discouraged and do not relent.

“We must keep on trying our best … though we know sports is really suffering. It needs more backing and support,” Chilaka pointed out.
