In a recent statement, Udi analyzed the performances of both teams in the tournament, acknowledging that they have struggled to find their rhythm.

However, he emphasized that Nigeria has the edge over Cameroon, and he expects the Super Eagles to come out strong and make the nation proud.

“Looking at this competition, this AFCON in Ivory Coast is a different ball game because the Super Eagles and the Cameroonian, the indomitable Lions, they’ve not put up a spectacular game.

Both countries are struggling, so that game should be a 50-50 game because the two countries have not played well. They’ve been grinding some results, but they’ve been struggling,” Udi explained.

Expressing his hope for the Super Eagles to perform at their best, Udi stressed the importance of Nigeria bringing their ‘A’ game to ensure success in the knockout stage.

He highlighted the Super Eagles’ advantage over Cameroon based on their better performance in the competition so far.

” I see the Super Eagles coming out strong because I saw the two games Cameroon played. They’ve been struggling just like our Super Eagles.

But our Super Eagles have an edge in the sense that we are better than them in this competition, So far so good, that’s just the advantage that we have over them” Udi concluded.

As the anticipation builds for the AFCON Round of 16 clash, Duke Udi’s positive outlook aligns with the hopes of many Nigerian football enthusiasts, eager to see the Super Eagles advance further in the tournament.
