NFF Executives Optimistic After Super Eagles' Win Against Cote d'Ivoire

Executives and board members of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have delivered a resounding call for victory as they back the Super Eagles in their final group game of the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

After a thrilling lone-goal victory against the host country, Cote d’Ivoire, the NFF officials expressed confidence in the team’s capabilities and urged them to aim for triumph in the tournament.

Speaking separately during interviews at their Hotel du Capitol, Salisu Usman Galadima, Chairman of Nasarawa state FA, commended the Super Eagles for showcasing determination and strength in overcoming the Ivorian challenge.

He conveyed his best wishes to the team for their last group match.

“I want to say I am very happy about the win, and it shows the determination of the boys to prove to the world that Nigeria is still a strong footballing nation.

I wish them the very best in their last match,” Galadima stated.

Faisal Mohammed, the newly installed FA Chairman from Kaduna state, confidently asserted that the Super Eagles would reach the final based on their impressive performance against Cote d’Ivoire.

“People who had written the Super Eagles off after their lackluster performances can see that our Super Eagles still have what it takes to shine.

I am very sure that we can do it again as the team slogan is called ‘Let’s do it again.’

We should just keep faith in the boys; they will play in the final of this AFCON. I am so sure of it,” Mohammed expressed.

Sola Fanawopo, the latest FA Chairman from Osun state, shared his optimism about the Super Eagles’ chances in the tournament.

He highlighted his connection to the Nations Cup and expressed confidence in the team’s ability to lift the trophy.

“With what I saw from the boys and the support they are getting from all quarters, I am sure we will lift the trophy here on the final day of the AFCON 2023,” Fanawopo concluded.

The NFF officials are united in their support for the Super Eagles, emphasizing their belief in the team’s potential to secure victory in the ongoing AFCON.
