The Super Eagles may find it difficult to rain goals against Uganda in their third group match at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, as The Cranes have a veteran 40-year-old goalkeeper, who says his task is to help the team maintain clean sheets.
Sports247 reports that, though, Uganda conceded once in their opening game loss to Tunisia, their returnee shot-stopper, Denis Onyango said his major task with The Cranes is to prevent goals from going in against the team.

As Uganda prepare to face Tanzania on Saturday then battle Nigeria in their last group match on Tuesday, Onyango believes his team can still make it to the next round, as he aims to ensure their shot stoppers no longer concede goals.
That would sound like a tough task against the victory hungry Super Eagles, but Onyango is enthusiastic that his presence in The Cranes’ squad at AFCON 2025 will eventually begin to materialize as the competition matures.
Onyango, who returned in August 2025, after four years of retirement, stated: “I want to help the team progress to the next stage because I understand what it takes at this level.
“I want to motivate the young players and help them understand what it truly means to represent the country at AFCON.
“I also see myself as a bridge between the technical bench and the players. For the goalkeepers, my role is simple: push everyone to be ready when their moment comes.”
