Ahead of Tuesday’s opening group match against Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, Tanzania have moved swiftly to boost their ranks with the addition of a young striker from their domestic league.

The team has also been boosted with a new sponsorship initiative from Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), in partnership with the National Sports Council (NSC) and Blueberry Travels, to ensure massive support for the team in Morocco.
This follows a travel programme that was launched for fans wishing to be at AFCON 2025, which an NSC official, Benson Chacha said is in response to a wave of inquiries from supporters seeking a coordinated travel arrangement.
The packages include round-trip airfare and local transportation in Morocco, starting with their opening match versus Nigeria, for which each fan will pay $2,535, while two people travelling together will each pay $2,320.
