Nigeria’s Super Eagles have adjusted their preparations in Fès, Morocco, following a delayed arrival on Thursday that forced changes to the team’s training programme ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Camp sources confirmed that the squad had initially planned to hold a recovery session upon arrival.
However, the later-than-expected touchdown in Fès prompted the coaching crew to reschedule activities in order to preserve the players’ physical condition and tactical sharpness.
To make up for the lost session, the Super Eagles will hold two training sessions on Friday. The first is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., while the second will take place at 6:00 p.m.
Both sessions are expected to focus on a blend of fitness work and tactical drills as preparations intensify.
The Super Eagles will open their campaign against Tanzania on Tuesday, December 23, before taking on Tunisia on December 27 and Uganda on December 30.
All 28 invited players are now in camp in Morocco, including striker Victor Osimhen, who linked up with the squad late Wednesday night in Cairo before the team’s onward journey to Fès.
With the countdown to AFCON 2025 underway, the Super Eagles remain focused on a demanding preparation programme as they aim to challenge strongly for a fourth continental title.
