The proprietess of Charlie-Marie Group of Schools, Ambassador (Evangelist) Adekunbi Akin-Taylor has stated delight with how the Super Eagles have made her holiday in Morocco exciting with their 100% mark in the group stage of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The highly esteemed school owner, author, philanthropist, hospitality guru and former police officer in London stated as much during an exclusive interview with Sports247 in Fes, Morocco.

She disclosed further that being able to watch the Nigerian team live at Complexe Sportif de Fès has added extra flair to a long-standing passion that she has had for sports, especially football, since childhood.

Evangelist Akin-Taylor, who worked with Kano State Sports Council during her year with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 1981, disclosed: “I’m a sports enthusiast and I’ve loved football since my secondary school days. I also love to promote grassroots sports, and I know that supporting teams during competitions is very important.”
The erudite graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, who is an educationist, author of a motivational book – ‘Standing On My Promises’ – and an MBA degree holder from the United Kingdom, also praised the company that has made her ‘sports holiday’ possible.
She revealed, “Here we are in Morocco, supporting the Super Eagles all the way. It’s courtesy of an arrangement done by Farwill Consult Limited.
“Farwill is a very well-organised, safe and considerate hospitality agency. They are also a very economical organisation that makes sure that, wherever there are spotlights for places of interest, they encourage people to go there.
“I’ve been with Farwill for some years, and I actually went to Kigali with them last year. I’m also going to Singapore soon. I know that, as far as Farwill is concerned, it’s a company and organisation that I will always rate high.
“I will also encourage other people to seek them out and look at all the different highlights that are available with them. I am sure that your satisfaction is guaranteed with Farwill Consult.”
The philanthropist, who has over 27 students on scholarship at her school and operates under the motto ‘Building A Brighter Future,’ also provided details of what she referred to as a rare experience of mixing a holiday tour with exciting football action at the Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Akin-Taylor retorted, “The experience has been top-notch, and it started at Murtala Mohamned Airport, where we had seamless check-in and proper arrangements that were organised by Farwill. They ensured that there were no issues.
“We thank God for giving us such considerate people at Farwill. Not only that, I also enjoyed the fact that, from the airport in Morocco to the hotel, they ushered us all around properly.
“Furthermore, apart from moving us from the hotel to stadium, Farwill has also helped us enjoy other experiences. We not only went to Tangers, we went to many other places.
“So, it’s a combination of a holiday, a tour and sports outing for us. I don’t have anything to complain about, because I feel proud being a Nigerian, and my team is winning its matches.
“I am also happy with such an organised group taking me around in a foreign country. Even the vehicles with which they’ve been taking us have been spectacular.
“We go in big black Benz cars, with people gaping at us and seeing us as important dignitaries.
“It’s all down to good organisation skills of Farwill and their considerate services to make sure we are up there in terms of satisfaction. Those are things that I really value, and I say thank you to them.”
She also expressed satisfaction with the Super Eagles’ performances in all their group matches, especially with the way they were able to hold firm and defeat Tunisia 3-2, despite the spirited recovery of the North Africans towards the end of the game.
The amiable hospitality expert and motivational speaker recalled, “For me, the greatest moment here has been seeing the Super Eagles beat Tunisia. The Tunisians really wanted to spoil our day, and we had a goal that was disallowed in that match.
“Also, the penalty that was awarded to them was not worth it. So, at the final whistle, with the result showing Nigeria 3-Tunisia 2, I was very happy, and the excitement still vibrates in my mind.
“For Tuesday’s match against Uganda, we said we wanted to win and get nine points. At the end of the day, we got nine points.
“In fact, all of the three days that we went to the stadium to watch our team, it has been a case of great, greater and greatest. On all the days, we came back victorious.”
She concluded by projecting into the round of 16 and beyond, with a verdict that the Eagles are good enough to win the cup on January 18th, but warned the coach, Eric Chelle, to work better on the team’s midfield.
Evangelist Akin-Taylor posited, “We came back holding our heads high, and even the Moroccans are respecting us. Everybody here respects us.
“The next thing is that the greatest of the great experience for me here would be for us to reach the final. By the grace of God, it will happen.
“We can even win the cup as long as our midfield is not left shallow as it was in the first match. I believe we’ll keep on improving all the way to the final, and I wish the Super Eagles the best of luck.”
