The Super Eagles’ camp in Cairo, Egypt, has begun to take shape as ten invited players arrive ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Goalkeepers Francis Uzoho was the first to arrive he was later joined by Stanley Nwabali on Sunday morning as the early birds at the team’s transit base at the Renaissance Hotel, Cairo.

They were later joined by midfielders Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, bringing the number of players in camp to four.
In the early hours of Monday, six additional players checked into camp as expected. Amas Obasogie, Semi Ajayi, Ademola Lookman, Igho Ogbu, Bright Osayi-Samuel, and Tochukwu Nnadi all arrived and were received by members of the technical crew and team officials.
With these latest arrivals, a total of 10 players are now on ground as preparations gather momentum.
More players are expected to join the squad in the coming hours as the team completes its assembly.
The Super Eagles will remain in Cairo briefly to play preparatory game against Egypt on Tuesday before proceeding to Morocco, where the main tournament will be staged.
The coaching crew is expected to intensify training sessions once the full squad is in camp, as Nigeria steps up preparations for the continental showpiece.
