Speaking after Nigeria’s 3–1 victory over Uganda in their final Group C game in Fès, Ndidi said the team’s mindset has been key to finishing the group stage with a perfect record.

“The group is very motivated, and everyone wants to give their best whenever they get the chance,” Ndidi said.

Nigeria won all three of their group matches to finish top of Group C with nine points, a feat Ndidi believes reflects the quality and commitment within the squad.

The Besiktas midfielder stressed that competition for places has pushed players to raise their level, noting that anyone selected is fully ready to contribute.

“Any player who gets the opportunity to represent the team will give everything,” he added.

Ndidi acknowledged that while the results have been positive, the Super Eagles are still focused on improving as the tournament progresses.

“We will continue to find ways to improve and deliver better performances,” he said. “We know we have quality, but we also know we must keep working hard.”

The captain emphasized that consistency and unity will be crucial as Nigeria enter the knockout phase, where the margin for error becomes slimmer.

With confidence high following the group-stage sweep, Ndidi believes the Super Eagles are well placed to build momentum as they push deeper into AFCON 2025.
