Super Eagles’ coach, Eric Sekou Chelle says he has put Saturday’s 3-2 victory over Tunisia behind him, and he is now fully focused on his team’s last group match versus Uganda on Tuesday, Sports247 reports.
The Super Eagles will tango The Cranes in Fes, Morocco for their third match at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, and Chelle assured that he has already started thinking of winning strategies for the game.

The Franco-Malian tactician also urged critics to ease off their scathing remarks about his teams near implosion against Tunisia, who almost equalised after initially going down 3-0 in Saturday’s crunch match.
Chelle pointed out, “Nobody is talking about our high pressure for 75 minutes, the players’ movements, and technical quality of our team. Nobody is talking about the players’ efforts and commitments.
“But I have no problem with all of that. It gives a lot of motivation for me to do better. All I know is that my team deserved the victory, and I thank my players for that.”
Chelle concluded by admitting there were some loose points in the Eagles’ victory over Tunisia, especially in how they conceded both goals from set pieces but promised to correct all the wrongs before Tuesday’s tango with Uganda.
The former Mali and MC Oran FC of Algeria head coach posited, “It’s true that we made some mistakes, like allowing the first goal, but we’ll continue to improve.
“I think this game was better than the first, and I hope the third game will be better than the second. We have the third game on Tuesday, and I’m very focused on that.”
