Super Eagles striker Akor Adams has called on Nigerian football fans at home and abroad to continue supporting the national team following their impressive group-stage showing at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Nigeria completed the group phase with a perfect record, winning all three matches to finish top of Group C and book a place in the knockout stage.
Adams said the strong start has boosted confidence within the squad but stressed that fan support remains vital as the competition intensifies.
“The support has been good so far, and we really appreciate it,” Adams said. “But we want Nigerians everywhere to keep believing in us and keep supporting the team.”
The Sevilla forward noted that AFCON tournaments are demanding, especially in the knockout rounds, where games are often decided by fine margins.
According to him, encouragement from fans can make a significant difference during difficult moments.
“As players, we feel the energy when the fans are behind us,” he added. “It pushes us to give more on the pitch.”
Adams acknowledged the team’s collective effort in the group stage, pointing out that the unity within the squad has been a key factor in their performances.
“Everyone in the team is focused on the same goal,” he said. “We are working together, supporting each other, and trying to improve with every game.”
Looking ahead, Adams emphasized that the Super Eagles are fully focused on the next challenge and remain committed to achieving their target at AFCON 2025.
“We know what this tournament means to Nigerians,” he said. “We will keep giving our best and fighting for the country.”
