Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has described his transfer to Atlético Madrid as a major milestone in his career, calling the move “a blessing”.

Speaking at his official unveiling, Lookman expressed pride at joining one of Europe’s elite clubs and said he is motivated by the challenge ahead after featuring in three of Europe’s top leagues.
“It’s a blessing to be joining a massive club like Atlético Madrid,” Lookman said. “I’ve played in top leagues before, and now I’m excited about the opportunity to experience football in Spain.”
The Nigerian international stressed that he is fully aware of the expectations that come with playing for the Spanish giants and is ready to meet them with hard work and commitment.
“I know what is expected at a club like this,” he added. “I’m always willing to learn, improve, and give my best to help the team and make the fans happy.”
Lookman also highlighted his determination to grow under Atlético’s demanding environment and compete at the highest level.
“I’m here to work, compete, and keep getting better every day,” he said.
The move is seen as a significant step forward for Lookman as he continues to raise his profile both at club level and with the Super Eagles.
