Robo Queens forward Kemi Adegbuyi is brimming with confidence ahead of the new Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership season, declaring that she is ready to take her game to the next level — and fire her team toward a massive campaign.
Adegbuyi, who scored six goals last season, says she is aiming even higher this time around. Not just by a small margin, but by setting her sights on double digits as she prepares to lead her side’s attacking charge.

“Last season was good, but this season I want more — double digits is the target,” she said with determination.
The talented forward revealed that preseason has been intense but productive, with the coaching staff working hard to refine attacking patterns, improve link-up play, and boost finishing efficiency across the squad. Adegbuyi believes she is fitter, sharper, and more mentally prepared than ever before.
She emphasised that Robo Queens are not simply going into the season to participate — they are going in to compete, to challenge, and to trouble every top team in the league. “This year, we’re aiming high. The team feels ready, and the hunger is there,” she said.
Adegbuyi also credited her teammates for creating an environment that pushes her to improve daily. According to her, the blend of young players and experienced heads in the squad has created a strong and balanced team capable of surprising many this season.
She noted that the NWFL continues to grow in competitiveness, meaning that scoring goals and achieving consistency will require top-level concentration from every player.
“The league is getting tougher. Every team is improving, and nothing will come easy. But that’s what motivates me — I want to deliver for my club every single week,” she added.
As kickoff draws closer, Adegbuyi says her personal ambitions align perfectly with the club’s objectives. She believes Robo Queens have the depth, talent, and mentality needed to challenge for honours.
