The American-born athlete’s run not only secured the win but also established a season best and Nigerian lead, underlining her strong start to the outdoor campaign.

Tabugbo improved on her previous outdoor best of 13.21 seconds, continuing the impressive momentum built during her indoor season.

Her latest performance adds to a growing list of achievements over the past year. In January 2025, she claimed victory in the 60m hurdles at the Stan Scott Invitational in Lubbock, Texas, clocking 8.06 seconds—a time that ranked among the top 10 in the United States that season.

She further reinforced her credentials on the international stage in August 2025, winning the women’s 100m hurdles at the Grande Prêmio Brasil de Atletismo in São Paulo with an impressive 12.90 seconds.

Born on October 3, 2001, Tabugbo continues to establish herself as one of Nigeria’s emerging stars in the hurdles, combining technical precision with explosive speed.

Her commanding display at the Black and Gold Invitational signals intent early in the outdoor season, positioning her as a strong contender in upcoming meets.

With form already peaking, expectations will be high as she looks to build consistency and push for even faster times.

If this performance is any indication, Tabugbo is poised for a breakthrough season on both the collegiate and international stages.
