Kano State-born midfielder Adamu Mukhtar has successfully undergone surgery following the injury setback that temporarily halted his progress with Norwegian club Odds Ballklubb in the OBOS-ligaen.
The former Sporting Lagos F.C. player had made two league appearances this season before suffering the injury last month. His most recent outing came in Odds Ballklubb’s impressive 3–1 away victory over Sandnes on April 11, 2026.

Mukhtar is regarded as a hardworking and determined player, and there is optimism that he will return stronger once rehabilitation is completed.
Support and goodwill messages have continued to pour in for the midfielder as fans and well-wishers pray for his full recovery and quick return to action.
“May Allah grant him strength, patience, and courage during this recovery process,” supporters have said.
For Adamu Mukhtar, the focus now shifts to rehabilitation and rebuilding fitness, with hopes of returning to the pitch and continuing his development in European football.
The Nigerian prospect will be aiming to put this difficult period behind him and come back stronger for both club and country aspirations in the future.
