Abia Comets Chairman Chief Boniface Alozie Uche Enlivens Mood Of Players As NNL Kick-off Moves Closer

Alozie who stated these in Umuahia on Monday noted that the club has been enjoying prompt responses under the current administration with enormous motivation for the players and officials.

He said the encouragement would further boost the morale of the playing personnel to perform creditably in their tasks as he reassured the government that Abia Comets would raise the bar of their performances in the coming season to further be a force to reckon with in Nigeria.

He assured the players of total support and encouraged them to give their best for the team to be successful in the 2023/24 NNL campaign.

“I want to commend the state government under Governor Alex Otti for its continuous support to Abia Comets,” he mused to the players at Holy Ghost College Pitch on Monday.

“The government has been responsive to matters concerning us, this reflects the Governor’s passion for the game and interest in youth development through sports.

“There’s motivation and encouragement for the team and having this coming from the Governor will continue to spur us to give more than what we’ve been giving.

“All entitlements to the players and officials have been prioritized, the only thing we can do is to fight for the badge and make the state proud during the 2023/24 season.

“There is a need to be dedicated, disciplined, and determined during the season. On the part of the management we would do our best to make sure that you are happy at all times,” he assured the players.

Meanwhile, the Abia Comets would begin their NNL campaign with a tricky away fixture against Ekiti United at the weekend.
