Abdullahi Biffo Donates Giant Trophy For 2022 Emir’s Cup

Kwara United gaffer Abdullahi Biffo has donated a giant trophy for the 2022 Emir of Ilorin Football tournament.

The competition is expected to start after the 2022 Ileya Festival and only five Local Governments will compete in the fiesta.

Ilorin East, Ilorin South, Ilorin West, Asa, and Moro are the five Local Governments in Kwara State that will participate in the 2022 Emir’s Cup.

Speaking on the new development, Yahaya Yaradua who’s the Chairman of Ilorin West Football Association thanked Kwara United coach Abdullahi Biffo for his effort to revive the Emir’s Cup which was last held 25 years ago.

Yaradua also explained that the 2022 Emir’s Cup will be a keenly contested tournament adding that the grand finale will be coming up in December.

“On behalf of my board, I want to thank Kwara United coach Biffo for his support in our plans to revive the Emir’s Cup which is a competition he also played in years back and succeeded.

“Our Emir is a Sports loving Monarch and he is equally ready to support us to have a smooth and successful tournament,” Yaradua explained to pressmen in Ilorin.

Meanwhile, Abdullahi Biffo and his wards at Kwara United defeated 3SC of Ibadan 3-1 in Ilorin last Sunday and the morale of the team is high ahead of their next game this coming Sunday in Gombe against Gombe United.
