Chief Ogba, who currently serves as the First Vice President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), is widely respected for his exceptional contributions to sports administration and media.

“Chief Solomon Ogba is more than a name in Nigerian sports—his name reverberates on the global scene as a colossus. From his days as President of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria to his leadership roles in the NOC and Delta State, including numerous international assignments, he has consistently raised the bar,” Hon. Olopade stated.

“Chief Ogba is a well-respected authority whose impact transcends generations. He lives and breathes sports. He is a colossus of athletics globally, and the nation continues to benefit immensely from his wisdom, leadership, and passion,” the D.G. added.

Chief Ogba’s distinguished career includes serving twice as Commissioner for Sports in Delta State, where he left a legacy of excellence and innovation. Most recently, he served as Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee for the 2024 National Youth Games hosted in Delta State—a landmark event that earned widespread acclaim for its outstanding organization and execution.
