As the date for the second leg, first round Total/CAF Confederation cup decider draws near, players of reigning Nigeria AITEO cup champions, Rangers International F.C, have vowed to emerge victorious in the encounter against visiting Algerian cup champions, USM Bel Abbes after the first leg ended goalless in Algeria.
Speaking after the team’ training session, Thursday, the players who spoke said that they were motivated to go for victory for the Grand-Patron of Ex-Rangers International Footballers Association, Chief Benson Ejindu, Enugu state government and their teaming supporters all over the world for their steadfast support to the team.
Ghanaian shot stopper, Nana Bonsu, said, “We are going for a sweet victory for all our supporters for all their prayers and support especially Chief Benson Ejindu who has been there for the team through thick and thin just as we won’t forget what our loving governor has been doing for the team since we emerged champions of the Aiteo cup. Victory is our desire and it shall come to pass by God’s grace.”
Also fielding questions, Tope Olusesi said, “We understand what is at stake in this match against USMBA and prepared to deliver the needed goods. Victory is what we aim at and it shall come to pass. We are propelled for this victory by the strong support and motivation from Chief Benson Ejindu who has showed us much love and support.”
