Team Manager of Kotec FC, Akinloye Ademofe has expressed satisfaction after his team played 1-1 with Smart City (Feeders) in the ongoing Ikeja Divisional Football League.
The pulsating encounter held early today at Agege Stadium, Lagos.
Ademofe who commended his players for their brilliant performance said the game was a tough one for them but thanked God that the game ended in a stalemate.
He said both teams missed scoring chances in the encounter but noted that his players played better in the second half which gave them an equalizer. He said their next match would be better and they would do everything to do better in their subsequent matches.
“I am happy that we were able to salvage draw against Smart City who are a very good side. We did not play better in the first half but our second half was a good one and we were able to get a desirable result,” he said.
But Smart City assistant coach, Fela Tomdollar said he was disappointed that the game ended in a draw. He blamed his players for not converting their scoring chances that would have resulted in victory in the first half.
In the second matches of the day, Zion FC beat Shuffle Select 1-0. The action continues tomorrow as Ante International FC host Reality FC at DOG Centre Command, Ipaja, Alimosho, Lagos.
