Marauding full-back Oloye Felix Damilola has become Vandrezzer’s latest signing, having penned a two-year deal.
The transfer from fellow NNL side Joy Cometh for an undisclosed fee will keep the Lagos-born defender with the Lions of Naija until 2023.
Oloye, 20, is an offensive wing-back that seems almost a carbon copy of Alphonso Davies of Bayern Munich as he can play as an out-and-out winger and also has buckets of pace.
His energy and vertical surges should make him an ideal acquisition for manager Rafael Everton.
On joining the Lions of Naija, Oloye told VFC media: “This is an opportunity to showcase my talent and what I can do to the world.”
A more tactical, rather than a physical full-back, Oloye came through the ranks of Leaders Football Academy, before earning a move to Remo Stars in 2016.
After two years with the club, he joined Joy Cometh FC – where he scored six goals and created an outstanding 38 assists in 51 appearances.
One of the highlights of Oloye’s career is scoring in the play-off final as Joy Cometh FC gained promotion to the NNL in 2019.
His signing continues what has been a busy transfer window for VFC, as we’ve also signed Brazil attackers Ivo Junior and Golden Udo-Inyang, midfielder Michael Ipaye and goalie Segun Alabi.
