Victor Osimhen dislocated his shoulder while on international duty with Nigeria last month and has been on the sidelines ever since.
The forward is yet to fully recover from the injury and has consequently missed Napoli’s last nine matches across all competitions.
Osimhen traveled to Belgium last week to receive more treatment from a specialist and he has reportedly returned but not in contention for Napoli when they face Torino tomorrow in their last fixture of the year.
According to Napoli’s sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, Osimhen’s return is scheduled for January 2021 as he continues to work towards full recovery.
“Osimhen is still not well, we are waiting for him at the beginning of 2021,” Giuntoli told Sky Italia via SOS Fanta.
“At what point of the month is he back? We are waiting for him at the beginning of January, I don’t know when he will come back, we will see in what conditions it will be and we will evaluate.”
