Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi has revealed a startling factor that can help his team maintain their winning form in the English Premier League, Sports247 reports.
Speaking against the backdrop of his winning goal against Hull City last weekend, the former Arsenal and Everton dazzler reckoned that his team need a touch of luck in order to maintain the momentum.
Iwobi further noted that Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Semi Ajayi’s side is a huge morale booster for Fulham, as his first-half winner ended the London-based EPL club’s winless start to the season.
While pointing out that the Cottagers’ efforts all along had deserved better results, Iwobi urged his teammates to build on the win and maintain their form in all their forthcoming fixtures.
Iwobi also disclosed that the players are further spurred by the soothing words of their new coach, Alvaro Arbeloa, who called on them to take the bull by the horn and build on all gains from Saturday’s win.
The Super Eagles star told Fulham TV: “The win was a long time coming. We have performed well even though the results spoke otherwise.
“The manager has asked us to keep going and, hopefully, luck will go our way. It has now started. So, we just have to kick on and use this momentum for the rest of the season.”
