CATS’ Product Jamiu Isa Takes His Creative Posts To Next Level In Sporting Lagos FC’s Coaching Crew

A fast-growing coach, Jamiu Mohammed Isa has taken his trend of creative and philosophical messages on social media to another level, now that he is in the coaching crew of Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) outfit, Sporting Lagos FC.

Sports247 reports that the young tactician, who is fondly called ‘Coach Jamiu,’ has over the years become popular across various social media sites, groups and platforms with graphic messages under his favourite tag, ‘The Future One,’ which he uses in passing technical tips and comments laced with philosophical language.

The product of Community Action Through Sport (CATS), a youth development project that used to be sponsored by The British Council in Surulere, Lagos, launched his ‘Future One’ brand a few years after his return from England, where he played non-league football for a while but had to bow out due to a knee injury.

Rather than stay put and turn his focus on other matters in the Diaspora, the native of Kwara State, who grew up in Ebute Metta area of Lagos, opted for a return to Nigeria and set about putting into practise ideas he learnt during his years with CATS, boosted by their offshoot youth empowerment unit, Dreams And Teams.

His earliest impact as a coach saw Jamiu Isa team up in quick succession with Help The Talent Project (HTTP), Premier Skills, Cowbell Football Academy, Dominion Hotspur FC of Lagos and SGFC Athletics of Ilorin.

Having now settled down as the first assistant coach at Sporting Lagos FC, under the technical guidance of Jeffrey Buter, ‘The Future One’ has taken up an additional status in Nigeria’s top-flight league, but continues to show that his busy line of duty and daily schedule will not stop him from keeping his brand going on social media.

The lanky tactician, who launched his brand in 2015 with t-shirts and fez caps bearing his cupid-like face in ‘The Future One’ logo, has now stepped up his creative posts on Facebook with graphic messages about talented players in the squad of Sporting Lagos, with strong technical hints about their ability to make things happen for the team during any given match.

In his latest post, Isa opted for a poetic style, as he wrote: “The combination of both of them in the central midfield in the game can make rain fall. Rainfall of vision. Rainfall of anticipation. Rainfall of total game control. Rainfall of creative excellence. Rainfall of ball control.”

Sports247 reports further that ‘Coach Jamiu’ backed up his post with a clearly shot photograph of himself standing in between two youthful lads of Sporting Lagos, who were identified as ‘highly promising players’ in comments by contributors that are apparently aware of the exploits of both lads.
