Somto Adim Reflects On One Season He Spent With Sporting Lagos, Reveals His Deep Love For Michael Olise

Young Stars FC of Lagos whiz-kid, Somto Adim has revealed his deep love and high level of admiration for Bayern Munich of Germany’s Nigerian-born French international, Michael Olise, Sports247 reports.

Adim disclosed this while also shedding light on a chain of unexpected developments that put an end to his days with Sporting Lagos FC, where he spent a single season before administrative issues brought his tenure to a close.

While admitting he would cherish a recall to Soorting Lagos, now that they are competing in the top-flight Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL), Adim believes learning more skills at Young Stars and being able to play like Olise will see him soar higher in days to come.

The youngster, who hails from Anambra State, but grew up in Tedi Village, near Satellite Town, Lagos, told Sports247 that he is learning more about football at Young Stars FC and believes the experience he is gaining there will take him to the top.

“I am happy for what I’ve been able to gain at Young Stars; mostly under our late coach, Osahon Emokpae, and now Coach Hyginus Okoye. They’re are the people who I am really grateful to for my career so far.

“They taught me to be bold, to always be a team player and they took me to play for Sporting Lagos. I was there for a season until they changed their management and my contract was cancelled.

“I simply returned to Young Stars, because the coaches are good. They encourage me a lot and tell me how to make good use of my natural left leg. That’s the reason why I admire Michael Olise, because he’s also a left footer.

“Just like Olise, I want to get to the highest level of football. I want to play for Nigeria and make my family proud,” the former student of Mivera Private School projected enthusiastically.
