Two traditional powerhouses of Nigerian football are set to lock horns today, Wednesday, October 7, 2026, as Shooting Stars Sports Club (33 Stars) welcome Kano Pillars to the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan for a rescheduled Matchday 3 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter.
Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 PM WAT, where a capacity crowd is expected to witness another high-stakes chapter in one of Nigerian football’s most enduring rivalries.
Shooting Stars enter the fixture determined to turn their home turf into an impenetrable fortress following a mixed start to the campaign.
Currently sitting 17th in the NPFL standings with 7 points, the Oluyole Warriors are eager to secure a crucial maximum three points and propel themselves into the top half of the table.
