Zudachi Construction Team B began their campaign at the Island AllStars Sports Club International PatrickLingo Super League Football Tournament 2026 on a winning note, defeating Remed Healthcare Team D 4-2 in an entertaining Matchweek 1 encounter.
Sports247 reports that the game produced an action-packed contest, with both teams showing attacking intent, but it was Zudachi Construction who took control early and established a two-goal advantage inside the opening 25 minutes.
Izuchuku Agada opened the scoring in the 11th minute after capitalising on a defensive error by Remed Healthcare. The early breakthrough gave Zudachi Construction confidence as they continued to press for a second goal.
Their pressure paid off again in the 24th minute when Obie doubled the advantage, putting Zudachi Construction 2-0 ahead.
Remed Healthcare responded almost immediately. Five minutes after conceding the second goal, a dangerous delivery from Pastor Chiki created confusion inside the Zudachi penalty area.
Rie Rie unfortunately intercepted the cross and turned the ball into his own net, reducing the deficit to 2-1 before half-time.
Zudachi Construction continued their positive approach after the restart and restored their two-goal advantage in the 53rd minute. Captain Ike Ibe stepped up to make it 3-1, putting his team in a strong position.
Remed Healthcare, however, refused to surrender. Their continued attacking pressure eventually produced another goal in the 72nd minute, with Onyeze reducing the deficit to 3-2 and giving his side renewed hope of completing a comeback.
The encounter became increasingly tense as Remed Healthcare intensified their attacks in search of an equaliser. Their comeback hopes suffered a major setback when their goalkeeper was shown a red card by the centre referee following an infringement on an opposing player.
With Remed Healthcare forced to introduce a new goalkeeper, Zudachi Construction continued to exploit the situation.
The replacement goalkeeper conceded just seconds into the four minutes of additional time, with Izuchuku Agada completing his brace to seal a 4-2 victory for Zudachi Construction.
The result gives Zudachi Construction Team B a strong start to the 2026 PatrickLingo Super League, while Remed Healthcare Team D will have to regroup ahead of their next fixture.
In Matchweek 2, Zudachi Construction will be on a bye, while Daily Manna Bakeries face Jendol and Remed Healthcare take on Wellborn Hotels.
The tournament is expected to continue delivering competitive action as teams battle for momentum and valuable points in the PatrickLingo Super League.
