The Super Eagles of Nigeria will be all out to get four straight victories in all their remaining matches of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Sports247 reports.

This follows their shock 3-0 loss away to Guinea-Bissau on Tuesday, which left them second behind their hosts on the Group L table, with four rounds of matches left to play.
The qualifiers will resume in November, when the Eagles will lock horns home and away with Tanzania, following which they travel to Madagascar in March 2027 and then end the race at home with Guinea-Bissau in the same month.
As Nigerian fans and analysts now start making permutations and mathematical calculations about the Eagles’ qualification chances, coach of the side, Eric Sekou Chelle admitted it has become imperative that his players win all their remaining matches.
“We have to win both games in November when we play Tanzania home and away, then go to Madagascar. We will also play Guinea-Bissau in Uyo and we have to put them in the same condition that they gave us in Bissau.
“The situation is not very good, but we have to face two games against Tanzania and Guinea-Bissau at home. We have to put them in the same condition when they come to Nigeria.”
Chelle concluded by admitting his players had a bad day in their defeat away to The Wild Dogs, but quickly interjected that he remains confident in their ability to turn things around, especially as they will end the qualification campaign at home versus the same team that shocked them on Tuesday.
“I am still very confident about my team. This is the first time I saw them like this. We have to go forward and both ganes against Tanzania are very important.
“After that, we have the next game against Madagascar and then the last one with Guinea-Bissau. All four games are very important and a lot of things can happen.
“So, we have to stay focused and calm. We know our strength and weaknesses, but I’m still confident about my team and my pkayers,” averred Chelle, who now turns focus on the upcoming international friendly against Russia.
