Taiwo Awoniyi returns to the Super Eagles starting XI as Nigeria take on Guinea-Bissau in their second 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Bissau on Tuesday.
Coach Eric Chelle has made changes to the team that started the 2-1 win over Madagascar, with Frank Onyeka also coming into the lineup. The confirmed XI is Nwabali; Osayi-Samuel, Bassey, Ajayi, Onyemaechi; Ndidi, Onyeka, Iwobi; Lookman, Awoniyi and Adams.

Awoniyi gets his first Super Eagles start in almost three years, having returned to the national team squad for the September qualifiers. George Ilenikhena misses out after his impressive debut against Madagascar, while Victor Osimhen remains unavailable through injury.
Bright Osayi-Samuel replaces Ola Aina at right-back, while Calvin Bassey, Semi Ajayi and Bruno Onyemaechi keep their places in defence.
In midfield, Onyeka joins captain Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi as Chelle looks to give Nigeria more strength in the middle of the pitch.
Ademola Lookman keeps his place in attack, while Akor Adams also starts despite earlier fitness concerns. Samuel Chukwueze drops to the bench.
Nigeria head into the game with three points after their comeback win over Madagascar. Guinea-Bissau also have three points after beating Tanzania 2-0 in their opening Group L fixture.
With both sides looking for another win, the clash in Bissau could prove important in the early race for the group’s qualification place.
