Health Meets Football! PatrickLingo Backs Bigger Five-Team Island AllStars League as October 3 Kick-Off Beckons

The Island AllStars PatrickLingo League 2026 will kick off on Saturday, October 3, at the Lagos Business School Field, with title sponsor PatrickLingo Pharmaceuticals Limited taking centre stage in a partnership that brings together competitive football, fitness, friendship and healthy living.

The pharmaceutical company’s association with Island AllStars comes as the competition expands from four teams last season to five in 2026, with Daily Manna Bakery, Jendol Superstores, Wellborn Hotel, Remed Health Care and Zudachi Construction unveiled as the five teams that will battle for this year’s crown.

For PatrickLingo, however, putting its name behind football is not new.

The company has previously sponsored All Stars football competitions and has described sport as a powerful means of promoting fitness, teamwork and wellness. In 2025, PatrickLingo backed a three-week football tournament in Anambra State, explaining that its involvement was driven by a belief that healthcare should include encouraging preventive habits and active lifestyles.

Its football involvement stretches further back. PatrickLingo was also the title partner of the Babatem Anambra State All Stars Games, supporting competitions involving veteran and All Stars footballers.

That history makes the partnership with Island AllStars particularly fitting.

Island AllStars has consistently promoted football not simply as competition but as an avenue for fitness, healthy ageing, friendship and community building. The club’s recently concluded Above-45 Tournament reinforced the same philosophy, while the PatrickLingo League will now carry it into another major competition.

PatrickLingo also has a growing portfolio of pharmaceutical products recorded in Nigeria’s NAFDAC Greenbook, including brands across pain management, antimalarial and topical treatment categories.

The company’s representatives have previously said its wider vision is centred on making healthcare accessible while engaging communities through wellness education and sporting initiatives.

Now that philosophy moves onto the Lagos Business School Field.

With five teams instead of four, new sponsors, new rivalries and another championship at stake, the 2026 campaign promises a bigger spectacle.

But beyond who eventually lifts the trophy, the partnership carries a wider message: staying active is part of staying healthy.

On October 3, the whistle blows on the Island AllStars PatrickLingo League 2026 — where football meets friendship, competition meets wellness, and another Island AllStars legacy begins.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN. LET THE LEGACY GROW.

TOGETHER WE DO GREAT THINGS.
