The headline encounter sees Lagos Rebels face Ibom Raptors in a battle between two Week 1 winners. The Rebels arrive after an emphatic 56-13 victory over Cross River Ikan Sports, inspired by Fawaz Azeez and Sulaimon Alhameen, who both earned perfect 10.0 player ratings. Ibom Raptors, however, showed they can handle a much tighter contest in their opening victory over Lagos Greenbacks, with quarterback Taiwo Oluwalanu earning a 7.5 rating. Something has to give when the two unbeaten sides meet.
Defending champions Lagos Knights will look to continue their frightening start against Lagos Greenbacks after dismantling Delta Braves 60-7 in Week 1. Reigning MVP Kayode Mafe and Anyaorah Lotanna both recorded perfect 10.0 ratings, but Greenbacks will hope standout defender Precious George, rated 7.6 last week, can help disrupt the champions’ explosive offence.
Elsewhere, Delta Braves face Rivers Alphas with an opportunity to respond immediately to their difficult opening defeat, while Cross River Ikan Sports meet Gateway Horns hoping to turn the page following their 56-13 loss to the Rebels. Abia Warriors against Delta Panthers completes a five-game programme packed with opportunities for new players to announce themselves.
Week 1 produced huge scores, four perfect 10.0 ratings and several emerging stars. Week 2 now brings a different challenge: proving those opening performances were no accident.
