“Flamingos Are in Safe Hands!” — Victor Agbagu Backs Hakeem Busari After Third WAFU B Win

Chairman of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association (NFCA), Ogun State Chapter, Coach Victor Damilola Agbagu, has congratulated Nigeria’s Flamingos following their impressive 2-0 victory over Burkina Faso at the ongoing 2026 WAFU B U-17 Women’s Cup.

The victory extended Nigeria’s perfect run in the competition, with the Flamingos securing three wins from three matches after previously defeating Niger 5-0 and Ghana 4-2.

Reacting to the latest victory in an interview with Sports247, Agbagu praised the players and coaching crew for their impressive start to the regional tournament.

“Congratulations to the Flamingos of Nigeria. They made it three wins in three games at the ongoing U17 WAFU B Women Cup by defeating Burkina Faso 2-0,” Agbagu said.

He also extended his congratulations to the entire team and the technical crew led by Coach Hakeem Isola Busari, the former Gateway FC gaffer and the NFCA’s Technical Director of Coaching Education.

“Congratulations to the entire team and the coaching crew headed by our own Technical Director of Coaching Education, Coach Hakeem Isola Busari,” he added.

Agbagu expressed confidence in the technical leadership of Busari, stressing that the Flamingos are in capable hands as they continue their campaign.

According to the Ogun State NFCA chairman, Busari’s experience and understanding of the game have provided a strong foundation for the young Nigerian side, while the team’s results so far demonstrate the progress being made under his guidance.

The Flamingos have been impressive in attack since the start of the tournament, scoring 11 goals across their opening three matches while conceding only two.

Their latest victory over Burkina Faso was secured through second-half goals from Mary Dunstan in the 82nd minute and Oluwakemi Adegbuyi deep into stoppage time.

With three consecutive victories already secured, attention will now turn to the next phase of the competition as Nigeria continues its pursuit of regional honours.

For Agbagu, however, the message remains one of encouragement and confidence in the players and coaching crew, particularly Busari, whose technical leadership has guided the Flamingos through an unbeaten start to the tournament.
