Nigerian tennis stars will be in action this weekend as a series of exciting international matchups take centre stage at the USCM Tennis Club in Rabat, Morocco.
Sports247 reports that the two-day tennis event, scheduled for September 19–20, 2026, will feature several notable Nigerian players, including current Nigerian No. 1 Canice Abua, former Nigerian No. 1 Daniel Adeleye, DavNotch Open champion Abubakar Yusuf, and Michael Emmanuel.
Day One will open with Bennani Karim taking on Canice Abua, popularly known as “Abua Meshine.” The current Nigerian No. 1 will face a tough challenge against the Moroccan player as both look to make an early statement.
Also on the opening day, Dlimi Yassine will battle Daniel Adeleye, the former Nigerian No. 1, in another highly anticipated encounter.
The action continues on Day Two with Lalami Younes facing Michael Emmanuel, while Dlimi Yassine returns to the court to take on Abubakar Yusuf, the reigning DavNotch Open champion and Nigerian No. 10, popularly known as “Akwai Kappa.”
Further clashes will see Bennani Karim go up against Daniel Adeleye, while Dlimi Yassine faces current Nigerian No. 1 Canice Abua.
The event provides an opportunity for the Nigerian players to test themselves against international opposition while showcasing the depth of talent within the country’s tennis scene.
With current and former Nigerian No. 1 players, a national top-10 player and an established tournament champion all involved, attention will be firmly fixed on Rabat as the competition unfolds.
