Anthony Joshua’s Fight With Tyson Fury May Eventually Take Place In Wales Or Wembley

Nigerian-born former two-time world heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Olaseni Oluwafemi Joshua has received cheering news that his much-talked about fight with domestic rival, Tyson Fury may eventually take place on British soil, Sports247 reports.

The latest information regarding a choice of venue for the ‘Battle of Brits’ is now tilting towards three possibilities in the United Kingdom – among which one is Cardiff, Wales and the other is Wembley Stadium in London.

Both options have cropped up in contrast with recent reports that Madison Square Garden in New York City, USA had already been chosen to host the bout, due to pressure from TV interests, marketers and sponsors.

Joshua will be excited to learn that a venue in Cardiff and more likely Wembley are among three potential options now being considered for the epic fight, which Fury’s manager, Spencer Brown said he is ‘100 per cent sure will happen.’

The long-awaited fight has faced fresh doubts in recent months, amid a disagreement over the venue, as Joshua’s camp insisted it must take place in the UK, but Brown said he is now confident it will happen on Brirish soil, potentially in December.

“It’s inching closer and it looks like it could be the British Boxing Bonanza that we all hoped for taking place in Britain. It’s looking good,” Brown told Sky Sports.

“Three venues are still under consideration – with Cardiff and Wembley in the running. Tyson has been onboard with fighting AJ since the start and he will fight him anywhere.”
