Nigerian defender Chigozie Micheal Ihejiofor delivered a match-winning performance for NK BSK Bijelo Brdo, scoring the decisive goal in their hard-fought 1–0 victory over Jadran-LP in the Croatian SuperSport Prva NL.

Ihejiofor struck in the 44th minute, finding the back of the net just before half-time to secure all three points for BSK Bijelo Brdo in their Matchday 4 encounter on Sunday. The Croatian Football Federation confirmed the Nigerian defender as the scorer of the only goal of the game.
The victory also underlined Ihejiofor’s growing importance to the Croatian side, with the defender having started all four league matches this season and completed the full 90 minutes in each game.
According to Croatian Football Federation records, Ihejiofor has now accumulated 360 minutes from four appearances, making him one of BSK Bijelo Brdo’s most consistent performers at the start of the campaign.
His latest contribution takes his league tally to one goal, with the Nigerian making his presence felt at both ends of the pitch.
The 2025/26 campaign represents another important step in Ihejiofor’s development after gaining international experience with Nigeria’s Flying Eagles at the 2025 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Ihejiofor was part of the Nigerian squad that finished third at the tournament, with the Flying Eagles defeating hosts Egypt 4–1 on penalties after a 1–1 draw in the bronze-medal match.
Now continuing his development in Croatia, the defender is establishing himself as a reliable figure in BSK Bijelo Brdo’s backline while also showing an eye for goal.
With four consecutive full matches already under his belt and a match-winning goal to his name, Ihejiofor is enjoying a strong start to the new Croatian campaign.
